MediaTek enters partnership with Google to support Android Oreo Go

MediaTek, the world's second largest producer of SoC
(System-on-Chip) solutions for smartphones, today announced a new partnership
with Google. Under this partnership, MediaTek is officially supporting Android
Oreo (Go edition) - the new software experience unveiled by Google this week,
and tailored at affordable, entry-level mobile devices that feature 1 GB (or
less) of RAM.


MediaTek has worked with Google to optimize some of its chipsets
for Android Oreo Go, thus enabling phone manufacturers to easily offer a
